In September 2017, AirMap partnered with skyguide, SITAONAIR, senseFly, Intel, px4, FOCA, and GUTMA in Europe’s first live demonstration of U-space capabilities.

As the U.A.S. Service Supplier, AirMap provided critical U-space services, including flight planning, geofencing before and during flight, tracking, and live telemetry, during three live drone missions.

In March 2017, AirMap partnered with Rakuten in a joint venture to bring unmanned traffic management to Japan. Chiba City is the first to deploy localized AirMap UTM from Rakuten AirMap.

Rakuten AirMap, Inc., supports Japan’s commitment to begin BVLOS flights in rural areas by October 2018, urban areas by 2020.
